Update—November 30th to January 12th

Wow, it has been awhile.

On Monday December 2nd I attended a meeting on the Autism Respite program hosted by Christina School District.

On Monday the 9th I met with a resident to discuss the White Clay Creek State Park. On Tuesday I drove to Wilmington for a meeting to discuss deer management in parks in the state. That afternoon I attended the semi-annual meeting of the University of Delaware Board of Trustees where I addressed the board. That evening I attended the monthly meeting of the Christina School District board, and addressed them. On Wednesday the 11th I held my monthly constituent coffee at the Greene Turtle. That afternoon I co-led the local service fee task force in New Castle. On Thursday I met a constituent to discuss issues related to Christina School District. On Friday I had a phone call regarding ending corporate giveaways, and had another call, regarding Christina School District. Late on Saturday afternoon I joined the vigil in Newark for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting from 2012, sponsored by Moms Demand Action and others.

On Monday the 16th I had a meeting to discuss the Skipjack Wind Farm off the Delaware coast. I met with several students at Newark Charter School regarding Project Democracy. I attended the DSU/UD men’s basketball game that night. On Tuesday the 17th I joined a conference call with the Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence, on whose board I serve. I joined a second conference call, on the End of Life Options Act, and later attended a retirement gathering for George Meldrum. On Wednesday morning I co-led another local service fee task force meeting in New Castle. That evening I attended the annual holiday party with the Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Company. I had a conference call on Thursday regarding the local service fee work. On the 20th I had lunch with others to discuss the Christina School District.

On Thursday January 2nd we held yet another local service fee task force meeting. On Sunday the 5th I participated in a program on the End of Life Options policy, at the UU church in Mill Creek.

On Monday the 6th I had a phone call regarding the End of Life Options Act, and that evening attended the annual dinner with the state Chamber of Commerce, and sat with individuals from WL Gore & Associates, which has two facilities in the district. On Tuesday I joined a conference call on ending corporate giveaways. On Wednesday morning I hosted my monthly constituent coffee at the Greene Turtle. On Thursday morning I met with a pastor from a church in the district to discuss several matters. That afternoon I attended a portion of a day-long program in Wilmington on the issues surrounding legislation on gun violence prevention. On Friday morning I met with a Christina School District administrator. That afternoon I met with a second student group from Newark Charter High School working on Project Citizen.

On Saturday the 11th I had breakfast with a cub scout troop at Holy Angels school, then participated in the solidarity rally I helped organize to publicly oppose the vandalism and bombing of the local Planned Parenthood facility. I then had lunch with a colleague and a local business owner.
