Paul Speaks at August 25 Candidate Forum

A candidate forum for various local and statewide offices was held Saturday August 25th, sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark and the Newark Post.

Nearly all audience seats were filled for a debate between three Democratic candidates running for 23rd District state representative, an amicable debate that centered mostly on education issues.

Those running for the Democratic nomination in the 23rd District debate are Jerry Grant, deputy chief of staff for the House majority caucus; Claudia Bock, retired Christina School District educator and the Delaware State Education Association-endorsed candidate; and Paul Baumbach, a businessman and a social justice and equality advocate who has the state Democratic Party’s endorsement.
