Update—September 22nd to October 5th

On Sunday the 22nd I joined a bike ride organized by the Sierra Club, along the Jack Markell trail from Wilmington to New Castle. On Monday I attended the Manufacturing Job Fair at the Chase Center in Wilmington. On Tuesday the 24th I attended the House Education Committee meeting on weighted student funding in Dover. On Wednesday I hosted my monthly constituent coffee at the Green Turtle, then attended a meeting with DelDOT and CSX to discuss CSX’ proposal to shut down the Casho Mill Road underpass. I then participated in the Banned Book Readout on UD’s campus. That evening I went to Dover for the Delaware realtor’s conference. On Thursday morning I attended a meeting of agencies service those in the Newark area in need of social services including affordable housing. Later that day I had a call with staff of one of our federal representatives regarding a constituents battle with the Social Security Administration. On Friday I participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony of Phase II of the Tri-Valley Trail in the White Clay Creek State Park. 

On Saturday the 28th I attended the Kranz Hill Farm’s annual festival. Afterwards I attended the annual UD Farm Fresh celebration, followed by a Planned Parenthood fundraiser. On Sunday I attended a Peace Week event on Islam and Peace at the Islamic Society of Delaware’s Masjid Ibrahim mosque. On Monday I attended a meeting in Dover on improving diversity in our public schools.
